    social issues and public interest are entirely two different things.social issues would include issues of gender, sexuality, violence, etc. this category is essential, social issues I mean. this is infact a very critical category for Indian bloggers. my devaluation of cooking is in fact right for this category.
    public interest is according to the dictionary:

    “The public interest refers to the “common well-being” or “general welfare.” The public interest is central to policy debates, politics, democracy and the nature of government itself.”

    Hey Poonam,

    This is like watching the Academy Awards!

    It looks you have a lot of talent to sort through, and I hope the judges are up to it!

    I’m just glad I like to “fly under the radar,” and not bring any attention to myself, or you’d have to sort though my posts, too!

    (The last time I went out of my way to make “a spectacle of myself,” the neighbors showed up, yelling and screaming on my front lawn, brandishing sharpened pitchforks and burning brands! I had to turn a fire hose on them, to get them to flee!) LOL!

    Thank goodness my blog doesn’t fit “the usual categories!”
