Relationship Style Quiz And Personality Traits

This relationship quiz is part of a psychometrics experiment. Psychometrics is the science of understanding, measuring and predicting differences and similarities between people. According to this relationship style test, “your personality plays a big part in shaping your romantic preferences and psychologists have come up with a “syntax of love” to classify people on the basis of their romantic relationship style.”

I took this quiz and was somewhat surprised to have mixed results.

Like us, Australians also celebrated Australia Day today. Happy Australia Day to Aussies too!

It was interesting and bafflingly to read in newspaper how some youngsters did not know basic facts about Republic Day. I searched Republic Day quizzes to test my knowledge. This was a sub-par quiz I found that gave me this result message:

Given, for such an easy quiz, this message is little too gracious. But this Infosys HR chief seems to have a cracked a really good republic quiz conducted by CNN-IBN. Also, I do not equate having knowledge of republic day to patriotism. Having said that, it is kinda blasphemous to not to know about National landmark days in history.

FreeRice is sister web site of world poverty site, poverty.com. For each correct answer that you score in quiz, you donate 10 grains of rice to UN World Food Program. I could only donate 550 grains in first attempt. That is not even 1/4th bowl. 😦 Though, determined me, made few more attempts but could not go further than 1000 grains! It is never-ending quiz!

What is Your Blogging Style?

I came across this useful presentation about blogging styles on slideshare:

It has three parameters to evaluate each blogging style:

• Max times per week: How many times a blogging style should be used in a week
• Buzz index: How a blogging style can impact link love and number of comments
• Difficulty: How much originality and effort is required to use a particular blogging style

I usually do feature blogging and insight blogging, interspersed with evangelist blogging. I have done meme blogging only once and then too I did not tag anyone. I rarely used life blogging style. And though for many days now, I have been thinking to do link blogging (you see I am champion web surfer 8) ), but I have never yet done it because I am lazy. What this means? Link blogging should be soon up on Visceral Observations. 😛

World Food Day

October 16 is celebrated as World Food Day across 150 countries to recognize basic human right: “Right to have food.” The aim is to heighten awareness about hunger around the world. It is an initiative from Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

Statistics say that Approximately 1.5 billion people live on less than US$1 a day and every 3.6 seconds someone dies of hunger.
