The MovieManiax Awards is an initiative to honor the best of Hindi Cinema. The categories are limited and we have not ventured into the technical awards. The nominations under each category have been discussed, scrutinized and finally arrived on conclusion by a team of Bloggers. The rationale behind the nominations was to bring in the best before you irrespective of Box-Office status.

You, my reader,  are the Judge.

It’s up to you fellow Bloggers and also non-bloggers (any one who has access ti Internet) to have your voice counted to decide the deserving one. Please participate in this endeavor and spread the word.

Please bookmark the the MovieManiax Awards blog. If you are at Facebook, join the group here.

Wow, another awards program, Poonam! Good for you, and quite ambitious. I haven’t seen very many Hindi films—um, actually, none! But I am looking forward to learning here what ones are really good! 🙂

Muse, this was not my endeavor. It was Vee’s idea, I solely pitched in as a team member. I hope we can enlighten you on Hindi movies. 😉

(secret-Please include SRK in all categories 😉 )

The idea was actually Vee’s. See his blog in the post. Ahem..as for SRK with his only one avaerage movie this year..its hard to get him in all categories.. 😛

Yeah, no power string pulling, no judges, only polls, I thought of bothering you to create polls then thought you already were busy..so did it. Do spread the word.

Poonam, I am chuckling after reading this post. Just sometime back I checked my inbox and found Nikhil’s e-mail and I thought somebody sent a spam. I promptly deleted it and cursed Nikhil, the spammer.

I should have read it first. Sorry Nikhil!

    :D:D

I am going to add the awards blog to my blogroll and will check later. I am not on any online communities like facebook so if any important announcement please do share it on the blog.

So yay! is SRK winning? 😉

Hehe..you thought Nikhil was a spammer. Naah, I asked him to send emails to all fellow bloggers. Surely, wl share important announcements, or bug you with one of Nikhil’s emails. 😛

  11. 13 Chittaranjan March 5, 2009 at 1:22 am

Yay! Guess I’ll be voting on this one before the General Elections…kinda warmup for it 😛

BTW, why choose Tashan and CC2C of all movies for the Posters/Images? They’re an eyesore/put-off….don’t ya think?

Yeah, take it as warmup for elections. CC2C is 2009 movie, we just used it as teaser, its not part of awards which is about 2008 movies. Don’t worry you won’t be bothered with Tashan either in the awards. 🙂 I hope you like the ahrd work that has gone into it and have your say. Spread the word, Chittaranjan, as and when you can.

  12. 14 Amit March 5, 2009 at 1:48 am

Thanks Arpit, focus on your Boards right now, dont worry about reading all the posts yet. I hope your enjoying this phase. Best of luck, dear!

  14. 18 Nita March 5, 2009 at 2:33 pm

You are full of beans aren’t you! Looking forward to seeing the results of this one!

Ha ha..but this initiative is not my idea. This time its another courageous guy called Vee. Nita, I would need your help to spread the word so that more people can vote. You have a huge readership anyway, I hope you could put up a badge or something. Would you be able to?

  15. 19 amreekandesi March 5, 2009 at 7:40 pm

Wow..you are becoming the award expert – first the bloggies and now this!

    Good job, and good luck!

Hey, I can’t take credit for these MM awards. The idea and courage to go with it was solely Vee’s. He pulled me in. I hope you would help me spread the word. We want as many people as possible to vote so that we know what are the worthy movies around.

  16. 20 Dev March 6, 2009 at 2:06 am

You have a real knanck of knowing what people might be interested in. Another voting?? WOW!!
We really do need people like you in our politics 😉
Hey Poonam for President (oops!! PM!!)
    🙂

I wish I could be in politics, to clean up the dirt. :sigh: And I can’t even take credit for this awards, it was by Vee. I am just helping a bit. I would badly lose as President. 😦

  17. 21 Arpit March 6, 2009 at 12:26 pm
