I am being maked as spam for more than a week. I have written to akismet, so far no reply from them. Any ideas what to do?

Update: Problem has resolved itself. No reply from akismet though. Both me and my friend had complained to WordPress.

Um, do you quote the blogger’s original post when commenting? That makes Akismet spam comments sometimes.
I had one of your comments in spam, but didn’t delete it.
I get more than 20-30 spam comments daily and which are picked up by WordPress. I simply delete them all without even checking. Make sure you dont have any links in the comment and it should be fine.
I haven’t got any spam right now.. Akismet’s been blockin them… But you could turn on moderation for a while until they sort it out… 🙂

Akismet says to De-spam the genuine comments and it will learn from its mistakes.

Poonam, simply use a different email address and website Url when you are commenting on other blogs till this gets sorted out. And don’t leave any signatures in your comments.
Actually, you don’t even need to leave a different URL, you can choose not to leave any, as that is not mandatory on most blogs.

I had this problem a while back for a week before it got resolved itself. Rather than contact Akismet, better contact WordPress support.
I’m getting your comments as well. I wonder if WordPress support can shed any light on it? You could share their response with us…
It seems to strike very “randomly,” and mostly to people in your neck of the woods… Hmmm… Maybe wordpress doesn’t like curry? LOL!
