Interview of a Cartoonist at BaB

I finally managed to post interview of Anshul Maheshwari of Brainstuck.com on my long forgotten-now revived Being a Blogger (BaB) blog.

Anshul talks in this interview how the idea of brainstuck.com merchandise came into his mind out of his blogging experience. And how he seeks inspiration for his daily cartoons on his blog. He reiterates something important in his interview that most of my previous interviewees have stated. This is a statement that instills fear in me. 😛 And that scary quote is:

“I delete only those blogs from my reader that are not regularly updated.”

I know, I know I have updated my blog less frequently past few days. But that is because I am tied up and do not want to publish posts that do not have quality content. I have a commitment (my new year resolutions) to get my blogging act together, give me time. I should soon be out with a solution.

Meanwhile, I would appreciate your comments on Anshul’s interview here on BaB.

I think it’s important to not think about how people react to each post, or about the hits or the comments. If you feel strongly about something, just write! And it doesn’t matter if it is a ‘quality’ post. What matters is that you are writing what’s on your mind. What else is a blog for anyway!! In any case, often what one thinks is a quality post may not attract the kind of attention one wishes. So the solution is: just write!

Nita, I agree solution is to write what is on one’s mind. And what one thinks quality posts does not get kind of attention that is wished. For example, my consumer rights interview that I consider quality never generate number of comments other silly posts easily manage to do.

But when I said quality posts, I was in no way concerned to public reactions/hits/comments. Comments, honestly are motivation but I have thought of them before writing or while writing. It comes only after writing.

But when I write, I have to be satisfied with my writing. I never am easily. When it is a personal post, I will painstakingly, honestly record my thoughts. When it is on a subject, I will research. Wither way, it just remains a draft. I can never bring myself to publish it.

These days I am not getting continuous time to finish a post. 😦
